Triggered by a 9.0 magnitude earthquake-the largest in 40 years-killer waves up to 40 feet high slammed into coastal towns and villages in 12 countries, including Bangladesh, India, Indonesia, Myanmar, Sri Lanka, and Thailand.

Well over 100,000 have perished. World Vision's staff tell of beaches littered with bodies and of hundreds of homes being washed away. Sobbing children wander through the debris, desperately looking for their parents.

The needs are tremendous. We need your help today to rush Family Survival Kits to disaster victims. Any amount you raise will help to save lives.

World Vision is there working around the clock to bring relief to survivors. Partnering with churches and community leaders we are rushing emergency food and Family Survival Kits directly to suffering children and families.

Hundreds of thousands of children are at risk of death from hunger, exposure, and disease. The United Nations has warned that unless we act now, deadly epidemics may strike.
