Getting started is easy
It only takes a few minutes to create your online Personal Fundraising Page:
- Click the Get Started button
- Customize the text and the photo on your online Personal Fundraising Page.
- Send the link out to your friends, family, colleagues - anyone you think will help you reach your goal. The minimum amount raised to participate in the Write-A-Thon is $150.
Offline donations can be made via check and mailed to NYWC, 80 Hanson Place #603, Brooklyn, NY 11217. Please make sure that the Write-A-Thon particpant's name is included so we credit you! Top fundraisers will receive exciting prizes!
NYWC creates opportunities for formerly voiceless members of society to be heard through the art of writing. We provide free, unique and powerful creative writing workshops throughout New York City for people from groups that have been historically deprived of voice in our society, including at-risk youth, adult residents of supportive housing, seniors and others. Support from the Write-A-Thon helps us provide more than one thousand of these free workshops throughout the year.
