Welcome and thanks for your support of Organs 'R' Us ("ORU"). Runners, walkers and volunteers have easily raised funds for ORU and increased awareness of the shortage of organ donors by creating a personal or team online fundraising page. Setting up your page is fast and easy:
1. Click the Get Started button to choose an ORU event.
2. Personalize the text and photo on your page to express your passion and purpose. You may copy text from the About Organs 'R' Us link on this page. You may also include one of the photos on this page of Katie Grace Groebner (waits for a new heart and lungs), Shawn Stockwell (received a new heart on July 31, 2008), Katalina Thang (received a new heart and lungs on Sept. 4, 2006) or include a photo of you or your team.
3. Email your link to supporters. Make them proud of your commitment to improve your health through running or walking while saving lives.
Fundraising goals for ORU:
The Relay: $600/team ($50/runner or walker) minimum. On your page, please include “If contributing by check to ORU (501c3 Tax ID 94-3333306), 570 El Camino Real, Suite 150-330, Redwood City, CA, write (team name) at the bottom of the check so that my team will be credited.”
Bay to Breakers, San Francisco Marathon, San Jose Rock 'n' Roll Half Marathon, Silicon Valley Marathon or California International Marathon: raise $300 for a free entry, $500 for free entry and merchandise, $3000 for entry, merchandise, hotel, airfare and coaching ($3k-$5k for International Marathons).
