The Palmetto Animal League has been rescuing animals for more than 35 years in the Low country and continues to make a difference by reducing the number of stray animals and by spaying and neutering each pet before they are adopted – over 5000 animals to date. Run Forrest Run is a fundraiser to support the programs Palmetto Animal League offers to the community to help the animals. Inspired by the Animal League’s cat Forrest, who is handicapped, Run Forrest Run will remind us all that we can do it and we can make a difference! This year, the Palmetto Animal League introduces a new face to the Run Forrest Run 5K Charity Run/Walk for the Animals and has created pledge incentives for both adults and kids and fun prizes for the Top Ten Winners. Pets are welcome and encouraged to attend; water stations will be set up along the path for everyone. Festivities will continue after the Walk/Run and will include: The Dog Bone Hunt and Doggie Derby for your four-legged friend.
