I must be pretty special to have you come and look at my fundraising page today. I mean, I am cute and sweet and have had many wonderful, funny stories told about me, but, gee, I feel so lucky to have your support!
My Neurofibromatosis has caused me a lot of trouble in my life. I have had to endure 6 (or is it 7?) surgeries just to keep telling that dumb tumor in my head and my eyelid who's boss. I have to sit through hours upon hours of doctor's appointments (no offense, Dr. McKinnon, but that drive to Chicago from Kalamazoo stinks!) and have had enough MRIs and CT scans to last anyone else a lifetime or two!
I have a hard time learning how to do things with my body, like write and do cool Tae Kwon Do moves. I also have to take medicine just to keep my "goin' crazy" side quiet.
I sure won't miss those things about my NF if they find a cure!
So, my mom and Bobby are going to try to walk 13 miles to raise money to help the doctors and scientists help other NF families and maybe find a cure. That's pretty amazing, considering how old and out of shape they are!
Could you help them out with a donation? Thinking about all that cash going to NF, Inc. would be a big boost as they trudge up and down the mean streets of Cincinnati! They must really love me to walk that far!
