Peconic Bay Medical Center's 3rd Annual Polar Bear Plunge is just around the corner!

On Saturday, December 5th a group of brave (and crazy?) people will plunge into the chilly waters of the L.I. Sound for a very good cause:
They're raising money for Peconic Bay Medical Center in Riverhead.
This year's Polar Bear Plunge will be bigger and better than ever!

A TANDEM FREEFALL SKYDIVE WITH SKYDIVE LONG ISLAND

A 32-INCH FLAT SCREEN HDTV
Here's how it works. The more you raise, the greater your chances to win! This year's top individual fundraiser will pick the Grand Prize of his or her choice. The second place fundraiser gets to pick from the remaining two. And the third place fundraiser wins the remaining Grand Prize.

Proceeds from the Polar Bear Plunge go towards Peconic Bay Medical Center's successful building campaign, "Building Tomorrow's Medical Center Today."
The major modernization and building project includes a new Emergency Center opened in 2008 and new Kanas Center for Advanced Surgery opened in May 2009 and an 18-bed acute rehab center still under construction.
