Your donations fund these PEPY Projects:

School Projects - PEPY opened its first PEPY Ride School in December, 2005 and has since funded the construction of 3 more primary schools and 2 lower secondary schools. We recongnize, however, that the real value of the school is the learning that happens inside the classrooms. That is why your donated funds will not only support future school construction but also the quality education within them through our daily English and computer classes, teacher training and insentive programs, library and organic farm development, and additions like school uniforms, supplies, and other necessary items.

Bike-to-School Program - PEPY provides bicycles to graduating 6th graders who have attendance ratings through elementary school of 90% or higher.  This, coupled with education for parents and the community on the benefits of education and the opportunities it provides, help increase elementary school attendance and provide a means of accessing secondary schools which are often 15+ kilometers away. After the implementation of the program in December 2006 approximately 90% of the 6th graders at the PEPY Ride school continued to 7th grade compared to national average where only 26% of students continue to secondary school.

Child-to-Child and Environmental Clubs - The Child-to-Child Program is another educational initiative in Chanleas Dai Commune driven by its school-age participants. Facilitated by community members, these clubs emphasize learning through hands-on projects and encourage children to be role models in their communities. Through this program, the children learn not only the causes of issues such as dengue fever and basic household sanitation, but also how to effectively share information and create change in their own communities.

PEPY also supports eight eco-clubs at primary schools throughout the Chanleas Dai area. Participants are taught about environmental and health-related topics alongside Khmer literacy through the use of songs, animation, cartoons, and pop culture icons.

Partner Projects - Through PEPY's Tours, PEPY volunteers support a variety of schools, orphanages, and projects focusing on education and the relationship between the environment and our health.  Some of PEPY's partners are Cambodian Children's Fund, Sangkheum Center, RDI, Mlop Baitong, etc.

Support your friends and family!  If you have a friend or family member who is joining a PEPY Tour, they are paying for their trip, and they have asked you to help support the cause.  All PEPY Tour participants are asked to raise/donate to the projects they are supporting in addition to the cost of the tour, and we thank you for supporting your friend today!  Please, put their name in the comments line so we know to credit your donation to their fundraising total.
