The Power of One Can Make A Difference!
The Perry County Humane Society is a non-profit no kill animal shelter in DuQuoin, Illinois.
Our local community has been hit extremely hard economically with the loss of thousands of mining and manufacturing jobs. While the community struggles to rebound from this economic decline, donations to non-profits have been greatly reduced. People are often overwhelmed with just putting food on their tables and gas in their cars.
Perry County Humane Society has exhausted all known means of trying to raise funding for our current veterinary bills.
These bills are a result of many things including: numerous dogs requiring expensive heartworm treatment, many cases of extreme neglect (including Tucker shown to the left) requiring various treatments to save and heal and just the basic expenses required for the annual health care of our animals.
We truly believe that the “Power of One Can Make a Difference”.
That is why we are now asking for your help.
If each of our “Friends” (both old and new) would donate just $1.00 (or whatever you can spare) we would be able to pay this bill and provide the adequate medical care our furry friends need while waiting for their forever home.
