Hello Family and Friends,

We are taking part in the Walk in the Park for Abilis on October 19, 2008 at Greenwich Point to raise money for Abilis and would really welcome your support. Please join our team, THE SUMMER STEET STROLLERS for a walk, some fun activities, and pizza at our house after the walk. If you can't be there in person, be there in spirit.

Abilis Adult Division helps Peter by job-coaching at his Greenwich Library shelving work, and operates the condo on Summer Street in Stamford (thus our team name-Summer Street Strollers) where Peter lives with his roomies, Bill and Chris. 

For residents of Fairfield County, Abilis designs services to empower individuals and their families, from birth and through their entire lives, to foster inclusion, independence and self-expression. The ultimate goal is that each person will live in our community as a productive, participating member. Abilis works with other local, state and national agencies to develop a comprehensive system of supports for people with special needs and to advocate on their behalf.  In order to operate it's programs, Abilis struggles to supplement state and federal dollars by private fundraising.

If you would like to make a donation, click on one of the links next to the family photo. All donations are secure and sent directly to Abilis. You could also send a check payable to "Abilis" directly to us at home. These funds make-up for the significant shortfall in State and federal funding for Abilis.
