2nd Annual Power for PH - PHun Walk for a Cure
Join us for our Second Annual Power for PH - PHun Walk for a Cure at Roosevelt Park in Edison, N.J. on Sunday, June 3 from 10:30am to 1:30pm.
We will be having a two mile fun walk, with a DJ, raffles, snacks, lunch and drinks provided.
NEW this year: prizes for the top two fund raisers and Flat Screen TV as raffle item!
There will special activities for children.
We're expecting 100 – 200 walkers (dogs and children are welcome at no additional fee), each walker will receive a PH bracelet and 10 raffle tickets, additional raffle tickets can be purchased at the event. So make sure you come out to show your support and be counted! All types of walkers are welcome; please feel comfortable in participating as much as health and interest allow!
Power for PH is being held in honor of Olivia Marie, a 4-year-old who was diagnosed with pulmonary hypertension and has been battling with this disease since birth. Our hope is that this walk will raise awareness and help build a network for people who are coping with this disease. Proceeds will support efforts to find a PH cure through PHA's Research Program and its patient-serving programs. Learn more about Olivia's story and PHA (video)
