Thank you for visiting my fundraising page! The running is done, but the 'raising' continues.
As many of you know, I ran 2 marathons in the span of 2 weeks this spring, building on my 4-year commitment to help end homelessness and hunger through distance running. I’ve also dropped about 40 lbs. during this 4-year journey…not bad for this 40 –year old body!
I am happy to report:
I ran these 2 full marathons (52.4 miles) to benefit the Pine Street Inn, the Boston-based organization committed to fighting homelessness in our community. It is my goal to raise $5240 ($100 per mile) in support of the good people who work for, volunteer at, and rely upon the Pine Street Inn.
I am also proud to be sponsoring 2 Raffles to End Homelessness, in support of my fundraising effort this year. You can learn more about the raffle details at: http://running4it.blogspot.com.
I appreciate your consideration of my request for your tax-deductible contribution. Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to make a contribution to my fundraising efforts.
If you prefer to make a donation by check or money order, you may do so by making your check payable to the order of "Pine Street Inn" and mailing it directly to me at: 66 School Street Extension, Natick, MA 01760. I will be collecting donations and delivering them to the PSI periodically before and immediately after the Marathon.
You will receive a letter of acknowledgment for your tax purposes.
As the economy has turned for the worse, an increasing number of people can no longer afford the very basics – food and shelter...please remember to do what you can, when you can to help someone who is homeless and/or hungry.
Many thanks for your support -- and don't forget to forward this to anyone who you think might want to donate (or win some great prizes) too!
Thank you.
Sincerely, Paul
