In May 1997, the Police Unity Tour was organized in an effort to bring about public awareness of law enforcement officers that have died in the line of duty, to honor their sacrifices and offer a powerful place of healing for survivors by supporting the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial Fund.

The premier fund-raising event of the Police Unity Tour Chapter IX is a 250 mile bicycle ride which will take place May 8-12, 2012.  

Chapter IX participants will be cycling from Valley Forge, Pennsylvania to Washington, DC. Our four day sojourn ends on May 12, when Chapter IX will meet up with over 1000 bicyclist and 300 support members from all the other Police Unity Tour Chapters, and together we will ride to the Memorial in an emotional, yet spectacular arrival ceremony witnessed by thousands. 

Since 1997, the Police Unity Tour has raised nearly $10,000,000.00 for the NLEOMF solidifying its committment that no fallen officer will ever be forgotten.
