The Porcupine Foundation was established in memory of our 11-month-old son who died unexpectedly in July 1998. Because Shane's brief presence here on Earth had such a profound impact on all who knew him, we wanted to celebrate his life and honor his memory in a permanent fashion. The Porcupine Foundation, an official 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, is dedicated to keeping Shane's spirit alive through fundraising efforts that benefit worthy children's causes. It is our sincere hope that you will join the "Porcupine Community" so that the little boy with the hair that stood straight on end (hence the nickname "Porcupine" - thanks to big brother Keegan) remains indelible in our hearts.
