PRONINO USA

Sorry, no fundraising available

ProNiño USA seeks to relieve the suffering of Latin American Street Children by offering them help, hope, and an opportunity to improve their lives, thus becoming productive members of their community. Towards this end, PNUSA partners with reputable organizations and concerned citizens in the U.S. and abroad to design, fund, and evaluate programs that meet the Street Children’s physical, emotional, educational, and spiritual needs.

Mil Abrazos - 'A Thousand Hugs' Campaign

Mil Abrazos is Spanish for ‘a thousand hugs.’ We thought this was a good name for our annual online fundraising campaign for a couple of reasons. When children enter the ProNiño centers, they have already been through a lot. Many of their lives, even those as young as 6 or 7, have been touched by violence, neglect and abuse. Despite all this, the children are incredibly affectionate and simply want someone to listen and sincerely care about them. In short, a hug.

While many of our supporters are able to visit the centers each year, most try to stay in touch through letters, videos and pictures. We thought this would be a great way for those that care enough to support the children in ProNiño to send down ‘a thousand hugs.’ However, instead of only a thousand, our goal this year is to send forty thousand hugs to ProNiño through the Mil Abrazos campaign. We’re grateful for your support!

To set up your own ProNiño fundraising page:

Click on the 'Start Fundraising' button, above.  Then customize the text and the photo to express your passion and your purpose.  Send the link to all your friends, family, and colleagues, and anyone who might help you to reach your goal.  Set a challenging, but realistic goal.  We suggest a goal of at least $1500.  Download our toolkit at http://www.pronino.org/toolkit.aspx for more help and suggestions.

We are so grateful for your help and support. Without the contributions of our generous partners we would not be able to provide these children a home and the services they so desperately need. Thank you!
