Hello Chittenden County,
On Saturday, May 17, middle school students from Essex Alliance Church will shoot 10,000 free throws to raise money for children orphaned by AIDS.
Every cent that is raised will be forwarded to World Vision through Hoops of Hope for the construction of medical testing lab and voluntary counseling center in Zambia. By providing medical laboratories, those who are ill are able to get quick and effective HIV/AIDS testing, begin drug therapy and other treatments. This helps prolong the lives of moms and dads and helps keep children from becoming orphans. The target amount to construct the lab, install the necessary equipment and build the counseling center will be $150,000.
If you know a specific student that you would like to support you may find their personal page by clicking on the "Team Name: Pursuit" link above.
If you are a local business supporting the team, your contribution should be made on this page.
Thanks to everyone supporting us in this endeavor. Countless men, women, boys, and girls that you will never meet are forever grateful.
