A steady rain didn’t dampen the spirits of the more than 1,000 people who participated in last year 's QMC Cancer Walk. For the second year in a row, we set new records in all categories, including the most walk teams, most funds raised on-line, and the most raised over - $206,000!
As the Walk continues to grow, the Marie A. Curry Fund continues to grow, too. This permanent endowed fund focuses on encouraging prevention and early detection of cancer, enhancing access to vital cancer screenings and services, and purchasing medical equipment used in the diagnosis of cancer. Over the past decade this event has raised more than $1.5 million to help those in the community.
