Renato Shaffer, John Sylvester, Jason Tate and Joe Beeson have decided to make the sacrifices necessary to compete in this mammoth undertaking, with the hopes of raising funds to support HDSA Research Programs and raise awareness among the public of the plight of people with Huntington's Disease. In 2006 and 2007 the team completed the Race Across America. For 2008, in an effort to save costs in gas, the team has opted to go for the shorter, but still completly insane, Race Across the West. The funds raised by Team 2Cure HD will help HDSA researchers complete their work; it will help HDSA Centers of Excellence continue to provide access to vital clinical trials of new drugs and treatments to people with HD and very significantly, the national coverage we receive will help raise awareness of how devastating HD can be; and awareness that the search for a cure for HD will benefit people with many forms of neurological disease.Team 2Cure HD is in a race, a race to make this the last generation with Huntington's Disease. Please sponsor us today!
