With the help of friends and family, Jean and I raised $1,025 for the 2008 Ride for Kids. We want to again thank everyone for their generosity. The Michigan Ride for Kids raised a total of $69,065 exceeding our goal.
This is our third year with the Michigan Ride for Kids Task Force. For 2009, we have added the role as Co Task Force Leaders. Jean and I were honored to be asked. With that role, we attended our first Task Force Leaders conference. It was not only very informative but also validated for us why the PBTF is so dear to us. Until the late 1980's very little research was being done.. the Pediatric Brain Tumor Foundation has changed that. Thanks to the funds allocated to research, they are making progress in finding a cure for pediatric brain tumors. We have had the opportunity to meet several of the families who have children with brain tumors or whose children have had a brain tumor. They are very grateful for the support of RFK.
