Hi Everyone! This page began as a fundraiser via my 21st birthday but I am leaving it up. I would love for people to donate to this charity instead of giving me presents for the holidays. Actually, reaching the fundraising goal would be the best present ever.

Dearest Friends, Acquaintances, and Complete Strangers,
I am turning 21 on October 15th, 2007 (and Nietzsche is turning 163) and there is nothing i want more than to help make the world a better place. I do NOT need presents, if anything i need to get rid of my material possessions. I DO need to be able to do something positive in this life.
I used to proclaim my birthday "Jehovah's Witness Day" because i hated my birthday and wanted as little attention during it as possible (Jehovah's Witnesses do not celebrate birthdays, etc.)
But now i realized i can use my birthday for good! Such as to help raise money for Partners in Health, an amazing organization started by Paul Farmer, whom i learned about through SWS, which brings free health care to regions where there is no health care at all. Thank you for your donations, encouragement, and kind wishes! Let's make this happen! I picked $2100 to go with turning 21, but of course there is no limit. I know at least 700 people. If we each donated $10, that is $7,000! and then each of you knows more people! Please spread the word and post this link anywhere you can!This could really take off!

When my birthday arrives, i plan to have an organic juice party [no alcohol] and also to take some homeless folks out to [vegan] dinner. Anyone is welcome to join. Yay.

p.s. i also have two other fundraising pages which are still active! the first is from the benefit walk for the Boston Area Rape Crisis Center, always accepting donations walk or not, and the second is for Casa Myrna Vasquez, a transitional living program where i volunteer once a week.
