Welcome to the 7th Annual
RBARI Mutts Marathon!
Join us for the fun on Sunday, September 25 from 11 a.m to 4 p.m.
at Bergen Community College in Paramus.
It's a great day for dogs and the humans that care for them (PLUS a dog walk-a-thon fundraiser for the Ramapo-Bergen Animal Refuge, Inc.)!
This is an “event not to be missed” for pet lovers. Pet owners and animal lovers WALK to lend a paw for the shelter they love – as well as come to see exhibits, demonstrations, special attractions, entertainment, fun, and things for adults and kids to see, do and buy – both human and pet related!
The minimum pledge to participate is $25 - but we know you can raise more than that by making your own Fundraising Page and asking everyone you know to sponsor you!
The Ramapo-Bergen Animal Refuge, Inc. is a not-for-profit no-kill shelter supported entirely by the generous contributions of the community. We are focused on finding great homes for great pets and providing families with the resources needed to become responsible, loving, lifelong pet owners.
We protect the abandoned, abused, and unwanted animals in our care by finding them kind and loving homes. We give our cats and dogs food, shelter, medical treatment, and, of course, love. All but the love comes at a cost. It's expensive. And this is where you come in. . . .
It's easy to set up your page and ask your friends, neighbors, co-workers, and family to sponsor you and your dog as walkers in the Mutts Marathon. Start by clicking on the Events box in the upper right corner. The animals at RBARI are counting on you!
The schedule:
- Registration & the fun start at 11 a.m
- Walk starts at 12:15 p.m
- Contests start at 1:45 p.m.. (Largest Dog, Smallest Dog, Best Kisser, Dog/Owner Look-Alike, Best Trick, Worst Trick, Best Costume, and more! A $5 fee covers registration for each contest or $10 for all. The fee is waived for walkers who collect $100 or more in pledges.)
