Since opening our doors in 1973, the mission of the Rape Crisis Center of Central Massachusetts (RCCCM) has been to provide quality and multicultural services to those whose lives have been impacted by sexual violence. We also provide education geared toward ending violence. RCCCM serves the geographic area of Central Massachusetts. Our offices are located in Worcester and Fitchburg. Counseling may also be available at outreach sites throughout Central Massachusetts.

Our Mission is to address the impact of sexual violence by providing quality and multicultural services to those whose lives have been impacted by sexual violence and to provide education geared toward ending violence.

Our Vision is:

• That each survivor has access to culturally appropriate services.
• That communities are actively engaged in prevention.
• That systems be well coordinated and survivor-centered.
• That survivors lead all aspects of the community response to sexual violence.

Taking Steps is a 5K Walkathon that supports survivors of sexual assault and domestic violence in Worcester County and promotes prevention of violence against women and children. Funds raised are shared among organizations within central Massachusetts that are in the forefront of providing advocacy, counseling, shelter, safety and education. Your participation directly helps victims of sexual assault and domestic violence, their families, friends and communities.
