The New England Women's Initiative has over 500 members throughout the greater Boston area committed to raising awareness and funds for CARE projects that focus on education and income opportunities for girls and women in developing countries.

Read/WriteWeb is proud to support CARE, one of the world's largest international humanitarian relief funds. CARE works to erase poverty in developing nations around the world, by placing and emphasis on improving basic education, preventing the spread of HIV, increasing access to clean water and sanitation, expanding economic opportunity and protecting natural resources. CARE also provides disaster relief and helps people struck by tragedy to rebuild their lives.
CARE consistently ranks among the top charities in the world, and gets a 4-star rating (out of 4) from Charity Navigator, with 91% of donations going to program activities.
