This is my girl, Kava!  In her honor I have created Kava's Cause.  I will do the work, she will get the credit and hopefully, PittieLove Rescue will get the dinero! 

On July 13, 2008 I will compete in the Musselman Half-Iron Triathlon.  I will swim 1.2 miles, bike 56 miles and then run a half marathon (13.1 miles)!  I am one week into my 18-week training program and so far I haven’t drowned, crashed the bike or stubbed my toe, so it’s been great!

I needed my first half-iron to have meaning and purpose beyond the distances I will race… so, I am trying to raise money for PittieLove Rescue Inc. 

This is a Massachusetts based rescue that is dedicated exclusively to the rescue of Pit Bulls, "the most misunderstood and abused breed of all time."  Check them out at www.pittieloverescue.com/
