Thank you for visiting my fundraising page. ARFhouse Chicago is holding its 3rd Annual Ride for Rescues Fundraiser on October 3rd, 2009. This is our largest fundraiser of the year and we would like it to be a huge success! I'm signing up as a Virtual Rider because I will be helping the day of the event. If you are interested in being a rider or walker for the event, you can register at www.arfhousechicago.org. We would love to have you join us. You will receive a limited addition Ride for Rescues t-shirt (if you sign up before August 15th) and an ARF bag. There will be food, beverages, a bike station and more! This year you will also be able to bring your canine companion to join you. As many of you know, I have been involved with ARFhouse Chicago since its inception and was one of the founding members. In two and a half years, we have found forever homes for over 400 animals. With the money that we raise from this event, we will be able to save even more animals. In today's economy, your donation is even more critical. More and more animals are being given up due to financial conditions. I know times are tough, so any amount is greatly appreciated. One of the reasons this organization is very dear to my heart is the number of animals we take that other shelters would either not accept or would euthanize. We have taken in animals that have certain medical conditions, older, blind, deaf and breeds that are harder to place. You will see a large variety of these adoptable (and adopted) animals if you visit our website. Our shelter is an all volunteer shelter and survives solely on donations. Every cent that is donated goes straight towards helping the animals for boarding costs, vet care, food, etc. We are a small organization and pride ourselves on the care we put into placing every one of our animals into forever homes.
