Hi everyone:
We have been in contact with a person who emails us about horses being held a feedlot in Nevada.
These horses only have a few days to about a week until they are being shipped to Canada or Mexico for slaughter.
The feedlot keeps the horses in a pen and an internal person takes pictures. That's when the email trails begin to bail these horses out. Not ever horse can be saved but I believe we could help!
Last time a small little filly ended up at the feedlot. I have posted the past horses saved www.horseoutreach.org/rescuehorses
As you all know I can only take in one to two horses at a time but I am currently raising funds to bail one of these horses out and give it a better chance for life.
Once a horse enters our program we have a vet check, the farrier for new shoes/trim and other professionals who could help the horse improve.
It's usually a long process between 1-6 months until the horse is stable and ready to find a new home.
Costs:
One Time Cost: Bailing the horse is between $500-$900
Transportation: $300
Vet Check: $200
Monthly Costs:
Boarding: $250 (the horse has a wonderful stall 24x60 in a quiet place in Canyon Country)
Farrier: $95 per month/every 4-6 weeks depending on treatment plan
Supplements: $25 per month
Other professionals like Chiropractors, Saddle Specialist: $75per month
Please donate toward this great opportunity to give another horse a chance at life!
