Green Bay Strollathon 2012

Please join us for the Green Bay Strollathon 2012

At Meadowbrook Park on September 29

Rain or Shine

Our Strollathon benefits the International Rett Syndrome Foundation (IRSF) whose mission is to support those with Rett syndrome and their families, fund promising research, and increase vital awareness.  Rett syndrome is found almost exclusively in females.  Typically girls with Rett syndrome have normal growth and development through age one, after which they lose speech and purposeful hand movements.  They most often develop scoliosis, gastrointestinal issues, and seizures.  Most with Rett syndrome require full care, but although they have significant struggles with communication they easily steal hearts with their smiles and expressive eyes.

The Strollathon is a fun-filled day of thanks and celebration!  Registration begins at 9:00 a.m. and the relaxed 2-mile Stroll begins at 10:00 a.m.  Look for entertainment and activities for children and refreshments for all.

The best way to support our efforts is to join a team and make a donation.  Virtual Teams are invited to support our efforts from a distance.  And all are invited to roll or stroll with us on September 29!  Team Captains that create a fundraising page and raise a minimum of $100 will receive a Strollathon T-shirt.  Those who create a fundraising page and raise $500 will also receive an IRSF hat.

Yes!  You can be a Team Captain!  Or help in other ways.  Email mmevis@sbcglobal.net and we'll help get you started!

No donation is too small because every dollar moves us closer to finding a cure, to giving every girl the full life they deserve.  Donating through FirstGiving is simple, fast, and totally secure.  It is also the most efficient way to support our fundraising efforts.  All donations will be acknowledged by IRSF for tax purposes.  If you are not comfortable donating on-line please email mmevis@sbcglobal.net  for more information.

Thank you in advance for your support!  It means the world to us for it gives us the resolve to keep moving forward toward treatment and maybe a cure.  Your help truly is our hope!   And we are grateful for it.

Please feel free to forward this to anyone you think might help our angels!
