Nevada Strollathon 2012

Our Strollathon in Las Vegas was a huge success!

Now join us on Sunday, Sept. 30th

Sparks Marina Park, Gazebo

(Rain or shine.)

Strollathons are fun-filled days of thanks and celebration! Both Strolls feature raffles, activities and entertainment for children, and refreshments for all!

On Sunday, Sept. 30 registration begins at Sparks Marina at 10:00 a.m. with the relaxed 2-mile Stroll beginning at 11:00 a.m. Sparks Marina is home to public beaches, boat launches, a fishing pier, playgrounds, a dog park, and more!  It is also located next to The Legends - shopping, dining, and more!

All are welcome to join in this no fee event.  And there is still time to sign up to be a Team Captain or join an existing team by making a donation in any amount!  "Virtual Teams" and "virtual team members" are encouraged to support our efforts from a distance.

All who create a fundraising page and raise a minimum of $100 will receive a Strollathon T-shirt. And those who create a fundraising page and raise $500 will also receive a coveted IRSF hat!

No donation is too small. Every dollar moves us closer to finding a cure, to giving every girl the full life they deserve. Donating through FirstGiving is simple, fast, and totally secure. All donations will be acknowledged by IRSF for tax purposes.  IRSF has a four out of four stars rating with Charity Navigator.

Groups or businesses, please contact NevadaStrollathon@gmail.com for more information on sponsorship opportunities!

Our Strollathon benefits the IRSF - International Rett Syndrome Foundation whose mission is to support those with Rett syndrome (RTT) and their families, fund promising research, and increase vital awareness. For more info on IRSF: www.RettSyndrome.org RTT is found almost exclusively in females. Typically girls with RTT have normal growth and development through age one, after which they lose speech and purposeful hand movements. They most often develop scoliosis, gastrointestinal issues, and seizures. Most with RTT require full care, but although they have significant struggles with communication they easily steal hearts with their smiles and expressive eyes.

If you are not comfortable donating on-line, have questions, or need more information please email: NevadaStrollathon@gmail.com  or call 775-200-8788.

Your support means the world to us for it gives us the resolve to keep moving forward toward treatment and maybe a cure.  Your help truly is our hope!
