"Never pass up a hug or a kiss because you will never get that moment back" - Richard Schock
** Ring in the NEW YEAR by making a donation to the ARC for Uncle Rich!
Start 2010 off on the right foot; support the ARC and celebrate my Uncle's memory.
You may still be on a sugar hangover, and busy making all those bad Christmas gift returns, but making a dontion never gets old or goes out of style.
(and it is also a great last minute gift you forgot someone!- use thier name in the display and email them to let you know you made a donation for them!)
Enrich other people's lives and make a difference by donating.
Help us remember Rich all year long.**
*****************************************************************
My Uncle, Richard Schock, worked at the ARC for 31 years. He died of a heart attack on July 10th 2008. The loss of him has been devastating to our family, as well as the ARC, as they have lost a great advocate, friend, and employee and we have lost a son, brother, dad, husband, grandfather and uncle.
My uncle was dedicated to the mission of the ARC as well as the people. He gave his all to make things better for his clients there, and he will be greatly missed.
As a way to honor my uncle and his work at the ARC I have set up this page in his memory. Please help me raise money for the place that meant so much to my uncle and was a huge part of his life.
We will miss and love him forever.
" And in the end, the love you take is equal to the love you make." - The Beatles (my uncle's favorite band)

**It's Christmas time! Celebrate the season and my Unlce's memory by making a donation to the ARC.
The holiday season was his favorite time of year so let's make it extra special and show the ARC we care and my family that we will never forget my amazing uncle.
Tis the Season to give back and share the love!**
**October 6th is my dad's Birthday!
Please help us celebrate by making a donation to the ARC in his brother's memory. Make a difference for the ARC and help preserve my Uncle's memory.
Also pass this page along to anyone who you think might be interested in making a donation!**
** August 23rd is my Birthday! Forget the cards and party hats; just make a donation to my page.
This year I turn 24, and I feel that in the last year and a half, I have really grown up and changed. I credit the loss of my uncle with a lot of the change, and although I am sad he is gone, losing him made me realize how short life is, and that I need to make the best of the time I have with my family, friends, and with what I can do to make a difference.
I recently talked to a woman who really inspired me Carol Schillios, and one of the most important things I gained from talking with her was learning that I am not the only one that thinks one small act can change the world.
So help me celebrate my 24 years and help me make my impact. Support the ARC for me and my uncle and tell all your friends!**
** July 10, 2009 marks a very difficult anniversary for me and my family. It will be a whole year since my uncle has passed.
In some ways, time has flown by, but the pain of losing him hasn't healed very much. I think of him every single day. Somedays I get really sad, others I just miss him and his laugh, and other days I just want to do good things in his name.
Please consider making a donation to the ARC of St. Clair County through this page as a way to remember my Uncle Rich. I know donations mean a lot to them, and they mean even more if they are made by people who care about Rich, since he was a part of their family too.
The loss of him still hurts, there is a hole in our family that can’t be filled, but hopefully with time it will lessen. I just know that I will never forget my uncle, and I will always honor him by doing good things and raising money for the cause he really cared about.
Help me celebrate his life by making a donation.**
**May 16th is the ARC's 2009 Rich Schock Memorial Golf Outing!
This is the yearly golf outing my uncle was in charge of. They have renamed it in his honor. My family will be there volunteering and it was so nice of them to name it after him!
Continue to celebrate his life by stopping by (if you are in Port Huron) or by making a donation to the ARC on this page! **
** April 12th is my Uncle Rich's Birthday.
Help me celebrate his life by making a donation to the Arc of St. Clair County.
They need our help more then ever, and what better way to honor Uncle Rich then with a donation to the place he dedicated 31 years of the 58 he had on this earth.**
**On 2/5/2009 my Uncle Rich's Grandson, Brody Fye was born!
Although we are all so happy for Brody's arrival, it is a bittersweet time as we all wish Rich could have been there to meet him. We know he is watching over Brody and all of us and that brings some comfort.
Help me continue the great work of my uncle by supporting The ARC so that his Grandson will someday be inspired by his work and his life like I have been.
Congrats to Jessica and Dave on the birth of their son!
