Hello!  I am excited to be running in my first ever marathon for this amazing cause. 

This past year I had the opportunity to meet a remarkable woman who has been battling Carcinoid Cancer for the past few years.  Her warmth and spirit in the face of her diagnosis continue to inspire me. 

On an "academic note", Carcinoid Cancer is a rare neuroendocrine cancer that comes with an awful prognosis.  The Caring for Carcinoid Foundation directly funds research aimed at understanding this cancer that will one day lead to a cure.
