Thank you for visiting my fundraising page!  I am participating in the Hospice Cup regatta on September 27th in the Chesapeake Bay aboard Bella Donna.  Each boat participating in the regatta is contributing to the fundraising effort for Hospice.  This will be my sixth time participating in Hospice Cup.

We regularly race on Wednesday nights on the Magothy River.  We also participate in approximately six bay races throughout the course of the season (typically April - November).  It is wonderful to be able to enjoy sailing and apply it to such a worthy cause.

 

Hospice Cup funds help pay the expenses not covered by Medicare or private insurance. These dollars enable the hospices to provide skilled compassionate care, comfort and dignity to the terminally ill, their families and friends. Hospice enables patients to carry on alert, pain-controlled lives so their last days may be spent in comfort, at home or in home-like settings. Hospice care concentrates on care, not cure. Bereavement counseling and support groups are part of hospice services after the loss of a loved one.
