Our personal message:
Those of you who know me well know that this is not a recent photo (the pants are a dead giveaway!), but the New York City Marathon is the most significant race I have participated in - until now.

On August 16th I will be running in the Run for Friendship. This is a benefit for The Friendship Club - an organization that is very near and dear to my heart. The Friendship Club helps disadvantaged girls in Nevada County with a year-round program of after-school tutoring, one-on-one mentoring, cultural field trips, peer support, community service opportunities, and a full summer enrichment program. 100% of girls who have completed The Friendship Club program have graduated from high school. You can learn more about The Friendship Club at www.friendshipclub.org.

The Friendship Club receives no state or federal funding. Our funding comes from you - so please be as generous as you can. No donation is too small (or too large, for that matter).
