Brayden had surgery at Children's Hospital on June 21, 2007.  He was 4 1/2 months old.  He was born with Craniosynostis (he didn't have a soft spot on his skull).  The doctors at Children's performed surgery to correct it, and Brayden made an incredible recovery... like it never even happened!  I can't even imagine how much $$ the surgery must have cost, but our out of pocket expenses were next to nothing.  Children's took care of nearly everything... medical bills, meals, hotel room... everything. 

I have worked for Covey Run Winery since 1999, so it made perfect sense for me to sign up when I heard they were sponsoring "The Covey Run Fun Run" to raise money for uncompensated care at Children's Hospital.  2007 was the first year of this event, and out of over 900 people who participated in it, Brayden was the poster child.  He was the youngest (by far) and had a true connection with Children's Hospital.  It was a lot of fun, and it made me want to take Brayden to this as an annual event.  Please pitch in a little $$ to help support Children's for what they were able to do for Brayden and so many other kids.  Thanks!
