Greetings and welcome to my fundraising webpage!

On October 12, I will race in the 2008 Chicago Marathon as a member of Team Inspiration.  The Team is a function of Inspiration Corporation, which addresses the most vexing problem facing humanity: Economic disparity.  By providing food relief, housing services, and extensive employment training, this Chicago-based nonprofit seeks to end homelessness in the city and assist others affected by poverty.  Last year, you helped me raise over $1,800 for Inspiration.  This year let’s do more!

I joined the Team because I believe it is part of a necessary and life-giving organization that empowers individuals.  You can help Inspiration by donating on this website!  Your contribution is vital to many people’s lives.

Whether or not you are able to donate, I ask that you talk about the problem of poverty with your friends and family.  Economic disparity is systemic and pervades the entire world.  It exists on local and global levels of society and won’t disappear simply by throwing money at the problem.  We need to do more.  We need to strive for systemic change by engaging those around us in conversations about poverty and the affects of disparity on our communities.
