Sigma Alpha Epsilon's Michigan Gamma chapter at Michigan State University has chosen to help sponsor 5 runners in the Chicago Marathon on October 11th to raise awareness for the American Red Cross and bring in donations for a great cause.

The American Red Cross is a tax-exempt organization under Section 501 (c) (3) of the Internal Revenue Code. Contributions are tax deductible.
In addition, the American Red Cross of Greater Chicago also offers the community the chance to learn First Aid, CPR and other health and safety skills that will help keep you safe. We provide emergency communications for military families and offer assistance to those trying to locate family members during local and international disasters.
Below is a description of the five individual runners who have accepted the 26.2 mile challenge to help support the cause:
Christopher Dedow - A fourth year Finance Major with a specialization in International Business at Michigan State University. He currently holds the position as one of SAE's Philanthropy Chairs and is a Disney College Program Representative. He also is the Asst. Associate Director for Pierce Property Management and he hopes to start his own business eventually after working in the financial realm of the business world.
Ryan Blower - A fourth year Human Biology Major. Currently works as a research assistant in the biochemistry department at Michigan State University. He hopes to go to medical school next year at the University of Chicago.
Katelyn Charbeneau - A senior in James Madison majoring in Social Relaions and Policy & Comparative Cultures and Politics at Michigan State University. Katelyn loves spending time with friends and watching Michigan State sports! She is very excited to participate in her second Chicago Marathon.
Sarah Meyer - A fourth year at Michigan State University majoring in Materials Science Engineering and Spanish, along with a biomedical option. Currently does research with bone implants and tutors other students. Loves to play soccer and run in her free time.
Corey Scuglik - A fourth year at Michigan State University majoring in Accounting. he recently completed an auditing internship with Kutas & Associates in Lansing, MI.
