Safehouse Progressive Alliance for Nonviolence and groovsista entertainment is pleased to present Spring for SPAN 5K Run/Walk which will take place on father’s day, Sunday, June 15, 2008 from 7am to 11am at the Duane Physics Lawn at the CU Campus in Boulder. The Duane Physics Lawn is located on Colorado Avenue between 18th and Folsom Street behind the Physics Lab Building .
This year’s Spring for SPAN includes a 5K pledge run/ walk a wellness fair, refreshments, and prizes. Awards are given to age groups and overall race winners, as well as highest pledge raisers. The first 50 registered participants will receive a micro-fiber athletic shirt those who register later will receive a cotton tee shirt. Following the 5K, join us for a free community Wellness Fair where health care practitioners provide massage, chiropractic, reflexology, and other free services.

This event unites diverse individuals who walk with a common intention… to bring an end to violence in our community by rallying our collective spirit.
Spring for SPAN is more than a fundraiser – it is a celebration to honor survivors and to celebrate fathers and families who take action to end domestic violence.
