Sahaya Walks: Sunday October 9, 2011 in Davis

Sunday, October 09, 2011

Sahaya Walks is an educational and fundraising walk that provides an opportunity for children, along with family members and friends to make a difference in the lives of orphans and vulnerable children by providing health-care, education, shelter and food.

100% of the proceeds of Sahaya Walks go to the care of HIV-affected children and orphans who are part of Sahaya International's programs in India. We are currently taking care of 22 HIV-infected children who receive access to life-saving medications, adequate health care, nutrition, education and a future. Thanks to our programs, we have not lost any child because of HIV/AIDS for the past 5 years. In addition, we are also supporting many other orphans who lost their parents because of AIDS.

How far your fundraising efforts can reach for children in India:

  • $10 provides one month of life-saving medications for an HIV-infected child
  • $30 provides one month of food, clothing and school fees for a needy child
  • $100 covers one year of school expenses (including uniform) for an orphan
  • $360 provides one year of food, clothing and school fees.
