Since Saint Anne’s Hospital cancer care program was founded in 1976 as a medical oncology outpatient clinic of Boston University, our Regional Cancer Care Program has grown to provide the region’s most comprehensive, hospital-based oncology services. We care for more than 5,800 patients annually by offering the expertise of university cancer centers with the care and convenience of a community setting to help patients and their loved ones make the cancer journey with care and concern.

In September 2009, we opened our $21 million, state-of-the-art radiation cancer center in Dartmouth, MA. Our new center greatly expands the radiation capabilities that Saint Anne’s is able to offer patients in the Dartmouth/New Bedford region. Saint Anne's investment in these enhancements demonstrates its commitment to providing our patients and community with local access to the same technology and treatments offered at major academic centers like the Dana/Farber and Brigham and Women’s Hospital (BWH) in Boston, MA where our team of radiation oncologists and are also members of the medical staff.
