The Lake Norman New Years Day Barefoot Challenge
31st Annual Lake Norman
New Years Day Barefoot Water Ski Challenge
January 1, 2012
ON NEW YEARS DAY THE CAROLINA SHOW SKI TEAM WILL ONCE AGAIN PARTNER WITH SAMARITAN’S FEET “BARE FOOT FOR BARE FEET” INITIATIVE
On New Year’s Day we are going to participate in the 31rd Annual Lake Norman Barefoot Challenge Water Ski Event. In addition to trying to stay up the longest, each participant also hopes to raise awareness and funds for the plight of impoverished children who suffer needlessly from foot-borne diseases and infections due to a lack of shoes. We may be choosing to go without shoes, but for over 300 million children in the world today not having shoes is their reality.
You can help support our efforts by donating on this link today! For as little as $10.00 Samaritan’s Feet can purchase, ship, process and deliver a new pair of athletic shoes to a child anywhere in the world!
The Lake Norman New Years Day Barefoot Water Ski Challenge is one of the longest running and unique barefoot tournaments in the world. Held annually at Lake Norman Marina and hosted by the Carolina Show Ski Team, it combines starts, tricks, and endurance skills in one single ride.
