The CCSPCA prides itself on taking on special needs rescues - those sweet pets that would slip through the cracks if they did not receive special foster care and additional medical help. It may require sleepless nights for volunteers to bottle feed pups or kittens every few hours. Other times it will require pre surgical or post surgical care. Sometimes these cases are because of abuse or neglect.

 Such is the case of Clara Belle, a 4 month old English BullDoggie found dumped in an alley. It is likely that Clara Belle was kept in cramp confinement that caused severe muscle atrophy and total hip dysplacia of both back legs. Although Clara Belle will not be able to walk without surgery, she is doing great with exercises, good nutrition and lots of love. She is able to sit up and snorts happily at all visitors.

 Coco is a rescue from across the border. When just a few weeks old, she was left in a cardboard box in the street. A good Samaritan on vacation rescued Coco . While enjoying her new life, Coco became seriously ill with an obstruction that required two emergencies surgeries. Dr. Vale and the wonderful staff of All Valley Pet Hospital were able to save Coco and return her to excellent health.
