Due to the state budget impasse, Junior Achievement is in a financial bind and we have been forced to make dramatic adjustments to our operating budget. Unfortunately, we are forced to cut 800 of the 1,800 program requests we currently have. Much to our disappointment, this means that 16,000 students who could have received JA programs will not have an opportunity to do so because of our lack of funding. In a time when financial literacy and work readiness are needed more than ever, this is heartbreaking to us.
