Thank you for visiting our fundraising page in memory of Dr. Carole Noon in support of Save The Chimps, the world’s largest chimpanzee sanctuary.

The mission of Save The Chimps is to provide a permanent sanctuary for the
lifelong care of chimpanzees rescued from research laboratories, entertainment
and the pet trade!

Dr. Carole Noon, the founder and director of Save the Chimps passed away on Saturday, May 2, 2009. She died peacefully in her sleep near the Save the Chimps Sanctuary, where she was able to see and hear her beloved chimpanzees.

Dr. Noon was an inspiring woman who was motivated to spend her life caring and providing a future for chimpanzees who had suffered for years in medical laboratories. She has rescued many chimpanzees from horrific conditions, and provided an incredibly beautiful, safe and spacious sanctuary for them in Florida.

Our fundraising target is $25,000. It costs $2,500 to relocate one chimpanzee from the former Coulston laboratory in New Mexico to the permanent sanctuary in Florida. If we reach the target it would allow 10 chimpanzees to leave the horrific past behind and start a new joyful life in Florida.
