Mission
The Spina Bifida Association of Wisconsin, Inc. (SBAWI) is dedicated to helping families affected by Spina Bifida emotionally, educationally, and financially.
What we do?
The Spina Bifida Association of Wisconsin, Inc. (SBAWI) provides funding for families as well as support through organized social functions, fundraising events, chapter meetings and educational programs. We also work to educate the community about Folic Acid which can reduce the risk of Spina Bifida by up to 70% if taken before becoming pregnant and during the first months of pregnancy.
Who we Serve?
The Spina Bifida Association of Wisconsin, Inc serves individuals and families who live with the challenges of Spina Bifida. We also educate the community on how to prevent Spina Bifida and the importance of Folic Acid.
Spina Bifida Association of Wisconsin, Inc. Goals
- fostering and promoting the rights and well-being of all persons with Spina Bifida;
- encouraging care, treatment, education and social interactions of all persons with Spina Bifida and their families;
- raising the level of awareness in ourselves and others as to the nature of the particular and special needs of all persons with Spina Bifida.

- Donate to the Spina Bifida Association of Wisconsin, INc. -- Every Dollar does a long way
- Participate in our Sprint for Spina Bifida (walk, run and roll)--If you cannot be there in person, you can participate online by collecting donations.
- Get a team together and participate in a Golf Outing benefiting the Spina Bifida Association of Wisconsin, Inc.
- Be a part of our Adopt-A-Ghost Program duriing the month of October in honor of Spina Bifida Awareness Month
All money raised though the Spina Bifida Association of Wisconsin, Inc. (SBAWI) helps provide funding, programs, and services to individuals and families with Spina Bifida thoughout the state of Wisconsin.
