Thanks for visiting my fundraising page.

Recently, I had the opportunity to meet Austin Gutwein, the founder of Hoops of Hope and think he is a very cool kid.  It is amazing to think of all of the things he has achieved at his young age.  I have a team of friends (Connor, Alex, Austin K., and Jason) that will shoot freethrows on August 22, 2009 and hope that you will consider supporting our team to help Hoops of Hope. 

I'm doing this to help children who have been orphaned by HIV and AIDS. Over the past five years, Hoops of Hope participants have raised over 1 million dollars. The money raised by participants has gone to sponsor over 100 orphans, fund a water project in Kenya and build a high school and two medical clinics in Zambia.

Across the world over 5,700 children every day are losing one or both parents to HIV and AIDS. I can't possibly help them all, but if each of us helps a little, we can make a big difference!
