The Melanoma Foundation of New England is a non-profit organization dedicated to educating the public about the importance of early detection and prevention, and helping patients and their caregivers cope with melanoma. Skin cancer is the number one diagnosed cancer in the United States. Melanoma is the most preventable cancer. The Foundation was founded in 1999 and is a 501(c) (3) non-profit organization that provides educational programs, support groups, and advocacy for melanoma patients. My personal message:
I will be running the half marathon in Providence on Sunday May 4th on behalf of our boss, Marla Serwin, and her fight against Melanoma. I will be running with my co-workers, friends, and family. Many of you contributed when Marla and her friends walked 40 miles for breast cancer awareness a few years ago when Julie was battling breast cancer.
