Making Strides for Special Kids is a 10K/5K/Family Walk to raise funds for special needs children and their families in Lake County. This funding will enrich the educational, vocational, and social opportunities for children with disabilities.

This event will be like no other. In addition to the 5K/10K run and family walk, we will feature a capable/handicapable event. Capable runners and walkers will partner with special needs runners/walkers/wheelchair participants to experience a “race” – many for the first time.

Chip timing for the 10K and 5k will be provided by Lakeshore Athletic Services. Top finishers will also receive a VO2 Max test from The Fitness Pursuit in Grayslake - a $150 value.

Packet Pickup Required:

ALL pre-registered event participants (10K, 5K and Family Walk) must pick up their packet, t-shirt and bib number on Thursday, September 15 at Runner's Edge, 111 E. Cook Ave, Libertyville between 12:00 noon and 7:00pm.
