It's that time again when Team Alpha-1 participates in the American Lung Association Autumn Escape Bike Trek on Cape Cod. This year's trek is being held October 2-4. Last year I was able to ride 8 miles on 2 of the 3 days (the 3rd day was rained out).This year I hope to ride on all 3 days but am unsure at this time how many miles I will be able to complete.

Team Alpha-1 is comprised of Alphas and their family and friends who volunteer to participate or assist in local, national, and international sporting events. Team Alpha-1 was created to promote awareness, early detection, and to raise funds in support of research and to find a cure.  

You can donate online with a credit card. All donations are secure and sent directly to the Alpha-1 Foundation, Inc. by Firstgiving, who will e-mail you a printable record of your donation. Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to make a contribution to our fundraising efforts. Or, if you prefer, you can pay by check. Please make your check payable to the Alpha-1 Foundation and place my name as a memo. Mail the check to me at 184 Forest Street, Hamilton, MA 01982 and I will forward it to the Foundation. The Foundation will mail you a record of your donation.

 The one most important goal now is to find a cure for this condition.  This year each dollar you contribute for my ride will go to the Foundation to support our research and will be matched dollar for dollar by one of our most generous corporate supporters, Talecris Biotherepeutics Inc.
