About Us
Welcome to the Scleroderma Foundation, Georgia Chapter. We are a group of caring families, patients, and health care professionals who are here to help. Through support groups and chapter meetings, we support patients and families coping with scleroderma. With no known cause or cure, scleroderma is a disease that demands continued research. To aid in this mission, we are committed to fundraising and educating patients and the public here in Georgia about the disease. We are hopeful that one day a cure will be found; as we await these breakthroughs, our chapter seeks to provide a friendly atmosphere that encourages Georgians to share their concerns and solutions and let patients know they are not alone.
Our Purpose
The MISSION of the Chapter is to help patients make contact with each other through Chapters, Newsletters, and Workshops; To EDUCATE and INFORM the public about scleroderma, its meaning, and its consequences through a central base; to ENCOURAGE more awareness within the medical profession; To PROMOTE medical research toward finding a cause and cure; To ACCEPT donations, bequests, memorials, and grants from our generous supporters.
