I Can Run, But Can I Raise?
If you're at this page, you're a friend, a relative, a colleague, or someone familiar with an individual close to me, who I truly care about.
Please read on and help me facilitate the most worthwhile cause I've ever been a part of. Underneath my photo is a description of the organization I work for, The Friendship Club. You can also learn more by visiting www.friendshipclub.org. In fact, while you're there, join the race! Click on the 'events' link and register on-line.
Today, I can proudly write that I am The Club's development director, and to a large degree, I am responsible for enriching many young lives on a daily basis.
One of my duties this summer will be as a race director for a 5k/10k race/walk on August 16, called "Run for Friendship." My goal is to present a check of $5,000 to help our girls succeed in the future. Running changed my life for the better, so I want it to change theirs as well.
After you're done reading this, please forward my website link on to anyone and understand that a donation will have a far greater impact than you'll ever imagine. The process of donating is quick and easy.
$10 will help feed a girl for more than a week.
$25 can provide materials for a life skills lesson for 25 girls. $50 can fund an educational field trip for 10 girls. $100 pays for groceries for a nutritious after-school meal for 100 girls.
I'm not asking for a million dollars. I simply want you to think of one thing in your life that you know deep down inside you can do without, put a value on it, and use that money to positively impact a girl's life.
And if it's a million dollars, that's just fine with me.
Thanks for generosity,
Shawn Ryley
