Greetings good friends and animal lovers!
This is the third year in a row I have raised money for my primary non-profit activity, homeless animals. The Potter League for Animals, Newport County's animal shelter, has just completed a groundbreaking new shelter, built entirely with the animals in mind. No cages, no concrete floors, no bars ... just clean, bright, homelike healthy conditions that welcome the homeless and abandoned animals, and which are welcoming for their future owners! You have to see it to believe it, it's been written up nationwide, go to http://www.potterleague.org for more info. AND, it will likely be the first gold-level LEED-certified building in Newport County, if not Rhode Island. (certification pending ....)
Meanwhile, this is OUR ANNUAL FUNDRAISER. Whether you are a returning donor or a new one, please give generously ... 80% of our 7-figure budget comes from donations. Keep the animals as happy as this guy!
The Walk is on June 7, 2009, but you can give after that, if you miss it. Thanks! And if you give online, be sure to take advantage of the opportunity to make a comment. They're fun to read.
