My personal message:
As some of you may already know, the young son of my very good friend and colleague was diagnosed with a brain tumor earlier this year. He's pictured on this page. It has been absolutely heartbreaking to hear about what he is going through.  However, through research, there is hope for a cure.

That is why I've decided to dedicate my 2008 marathon race to Bennett Younger and the Childhood Brain Tumor Foundation. I selected this charity because all of the money I raise will go directly to the Foundation (and I will pay all of the expenses related to training for and running the Chicago marathon this fall). I also selected this group because they are helping fund important research and providing support to children, like Benentt, who are suffering from brain tumors.

My goal is to raise $3,000. Please consider sponsoring me by making a donation.
